I am an abstract artist based in Cranleigh. I completed my Art Foundation at Kingston University and my Fine Art degree at Winchester School of Art, where I specialised in painting. I teach A Level Art and Design and Graphic Design at a local sixth form college, which I have done for the last 14 years. I spend a lot of time in Cornwall and am inspired by the ruggedness and ever changing coastline. I also enjoy taking inspiration from the beautiful landscape scenes around Surrey and Sussex, particularly Newlands Corner and Pitch Hill.

I enjoy experimenting with layers of oil paint, drawing into the paint with pastels, chalks and charcoal to create a sense of movement and energy. I like to start by drawing onto the surface, gradually building up layers of paint using brushes, sponges and washes of paint. I enjoy experimenting with the paint; scratching into and drawing over the surface to add texture to my paintings.
